Eric Christian Olsen and Daniela Ruah are well aware that you want their “NCIS: Los Angeles” characters, Marty Deeks and Kensi Blye, to get together.
During an episode of TheWrap‘s “Drinking With the Stars,” Olsen and Ruah discussed the popular CBS spinoff procedural, their co-stars, the big 100 episode milestone — and gave plenty of hope for “Densi” fans with their playful responses to the “will they, won’t they?” rumors.

While answering questions from fans via Twitter, Olsen also teased that his character Deeks will finally get to reveal a bit of his backstory when he returns to the LAPD to answer “for some mistakes that he made,” and it may have implications on his relationship with Ruah’s Kensi.
“That will be kind of a pivotal episode not only for him, but also for ‘Densi’ or whatever this relationship is called,” Olsen promised, adding that it will reveal flaws in his nature based on his own past.

The co-stars also reflected on the show reaching 100 episodes and recalled some of their favorite moments during the long run.
“I’m going to be a little cheesy and say it got really fun when you joined,” Ruah said to Olsen, causing him to blush and stutter. “We don’t know how to handle each other’s compliments!”

After joking that it got fun when Ruah’s character went to Afghanistan for three months, Olsen returned the favor by naming a pivotal Deeks/Kensi scene as his favorite.
“It’s when Deeks is kind of recovering from his own kind of PTSD, and he hasn’t slept in weeks,” Olsen reminisced. “Kensi comes over and she brings Chinese food. A lot of times you’ll just play the sadness of the scene, or the banter of it, but very seldom do you get to play all kinds of ups and downs. That, from start to finish, is kind of my favorite scene we’ve done so far.
“It is such a delicate dance of these two very wounded characters trying to find peace with each other and with themselves. There are so many great moments — there’s a lot of food, there’s Chinese, Cronuts and beers,” he added with a grin.

The duo also played a game of word association with their co-stars — dubbing Chris O’Donnell a “leader,” and Miguel Ferrer and Linda Hunt as having the “sexiest voices” and being mythical. The duo went on to tease an upcoming episode set South of the Border in Mexico, “That’s when things get crazy,” promises Olsen.
“NCIS: Los Angeles” airs Mondays at 10 p.m. ET on CBS.
