Goodbye, Michael Weatherly. Hello, huge ratings.
The actor’s final “NCIS” episode on CBS scored a robust 2.5 key demo rating and a massive 17.6 million total viewers on Tuesday night, blowing out Fox’s Megyn Kelly interview with Donald Trump — as well as everything else across broadcast primetime. That conversation got just a 0.8/3 in the main demo but managed 4.7 million total viewers thanks to an older crowd tuning in.
With the strength of “NCIS,” CBS was able to finish first outright. NBC was a close second in the demo and a distant runner-up in overall eyeballs.
