NBC is giving new reality competition "The Sing-Off" a mid-December launch, part of the network’s plan to inject some tidings of comfort and joy to its ratings.
"Sing-Off," which features a capella singing groups, will debut Monday, Dec. 14, at 8 p.m., with two-hour episodes Dec. 15, 16 and 21. This mirrors the scheduling strategy NBC used last season for "Clash of the Choirs."
The network also has slated a slew of other Yuletide specials for December, including a new "Saturday Night Live" Christmas clipfest. That will air Thursday, Dec. 17, from 8-10.
And on Saturday, Dec. 19, look for the WWE’s "Salute to the Troops," a military-themed holiday special.
