Tiger Woods’ Mistress on ‘Celebrity Apprentice’?

NBC is not denying reports that Trump personally asked Uchitel to be a contestant — and that she agreed

Tiger Woods' mistress Rachel Uchitel may be the next "Celebrity Apprentice."

Rachel UchitelNBC is not denying a TMZ report that the show's executive producer and host himself, Donald Trump, personally called Uchitel to offer her a slot on the show — and that Uchitel said, "Absolutely."

"Sorry, we are not commenting on any casting rumors, yet," an NBC spokesperson told TheWrap.

Note the word "yet."

Trump has developed a reputation for devising ways to try get his shows publicity in hopes of spiking ratings upward.

A few months ago, as co-owner of the Miss USA Pageant (with NBC Universal), he had the contestants, a week or so before the pageant was televised on NBC, pose in provocative negligees and posted the pictures on the Miss USA site, getting pickup and publicity around the world

Bringing on Uchitel certainly would bring eyeballs to the show, which returns to NBC in primetime midseason.

The original version of "The Apprentice," without celebrities, will air on NBC at 10 p.m. on Thursdays beginning in September.
