Matchmakers’ Reality Show to Run Post-‘SNL’

Dating show “The Match Off” will follow “Saturday Night Live” on NBC stations in ten major markets

First "SNL," then a dating show.

NBC has ordered six episodes of the new reality show "The March Off" for the 10 NBC local stations in New York, Los Angeles, Chicago, Philadelphia, San Francisco, Dallas, Washington, Miami, San Diego and Hartford Connecticut.

Premiering at 1 a.m. June 26 after "Saturday Night Live," it will feature matchmakers battling each other to see who can set a client up on the best date.

Maria Sansone will host; matchmakers and clients will be taken from New York, L.A. and Chicago.

The show was created by LX.TV, a broadband video network acquired by NBC in 2008. Since then, it has created the lifestyle news show "1stLook" and the real estate show "OpenHouse" for NBC locals.

"The Match Off" is executive produced by Rachel Kamrasch.
