Kenny Smith is signing to Team TBS for a new reality show, “Kenny Smith and Family,” which will center around Smith, his wife Gwendolyn Osborne-Smith and their five children, TBS said Tuesday.

Smith is a former NBA star with the Houston Rockets and other teams, as well as a current NBA analyst for Turner Sports. His wife, meanwhile, is an actress/model whose credits include “The Price Is Right,” “Ocean Ave.” and “Any Given Sunday.” The couple has five children, ranging in age from two years-old to 20 years-old.

“The family at the center of The Smiths is headed by Kenny and Gwen, who probably never would have guessed when they got married that their conflicting parenting styles, whirlwind schedules and family chemistry would turn their quiet home into an absolute mad house — albeit a loving one,” TBS said of the upcoming series, which has received a six-episode order with plans to launch in spring 2015.

“With five kids ranging in age from age 2 to 20, a successful wife and an accomplished career both on and off the basketball court, Kenny has just about everything he needs to be considered the Coolest Dad on Earth — everything that is except the ability to impress his own kids. After all, he and Gwen are raising a family of all-stars. The older kids — Kayla, Monique and KJ — are excelling and have careers in music, sports and entertainment, and little Malloy and London prove daily that they are hot on the heels of their siblings.”

The series, which will shoot in Los Angeles and Atlanta, is produced by Good Clean Fun, with Jason Carbone (“The Bachelor,” “Tia and Tamera,” “Run’s House”), Nick Lee (“The Bachelor”), Jeff Altrock (“The T.O. Show”) and Kenny Smith executive producing.
