“Glee” alum Naya Rivera is opening up about her past, revealing that she had an abortion while on the Fox musical series and that she struggled with anorexia as a teen.

Rivera, who played Santana Lopez on the Ryan Murphy series, details the abortion and battle with anorexia in her upcoming memoir “Sorry Not Sorry,” an excerpt of which has been obtained by People.

According to Rivera, she discovered that she was pregnant in 2010, weeks after breaking up with actor Ryan Dorsey so that she could focus on her career. Again opting to put her career first, Rivera terminated the pregnancy while on a day off from filming the series.

Rivera and Dorsey, who married in 2014, now have an 11-month-old son, Josey.

In the memoir, Rivera also details her struggle with anorexia, which she initially considered “a game.”

“By the time I was a sophomore, I started feeling that what had begun as a game had maybe gone too far. I just avoided food at all costs,” the actress writes in the book. “If my mom had packed a lunch for me, I’d either trash it or find some excuse to give it away.”

“Sorry Not Sorry” is scheduled for publication on September 13.
