WWE Superstar Natalya ‘Strongly’ Believes Women Will Main-Event WrestleMania 35 (Video)

“The time has come,” the “Total Divas” star tells TheWrap

WWE Superstar Natalya believes 2019 will be the breakthrough year that women wrestlers first headline WrestleMania, which is the Super Bowl of sports entertainment.

“I think we are gonna headline WrestleMania this year,” the third-generation professional wrestler and longtime star of E! reality series “Total Divas” told TheWrap. “I feel strongly that we will do that.”

“The Women’s Evolution right now in WWE– it’s on fire,” she said. “Women have never been involved as they are right now in the company, and we’re doing things every single day to show that women are at the forefront.”

“We have women behind the scenes that are in charge, like Stephanie McMahon and Michelle Wilson and so many different women taking on leadership roles in the company,” Nattie Neidhart, the daughter of the late Jim “The Anvil” Neidhart, niece of Owen Hart and Bret “Hitman” Hart, and granddaughter of famed trainer Stu Hart, continued. “We had our first-ever all-women’s pay-per-view. I’ve been a part of so many first-ever, incredible female moments in the company, like the first-ever women’s Money in the Bank Ladder Match, the first-ever Women’s Royal Rumble, the first-ever Women’s Table Match…”

The logical next step? The main event (final match) of WrestleMania. That slot is considered the very pinnacle of her profession.

“The time has come,” Natalya said.
