"Nashville's" second season finds Rayna (Connie Britton) in a coma, ABC's first preview reveals.
Last season ended with a cliffhanger car crash, and the preview shows loved ones wondering when the country star will come out of her coma. Even Juliette (Hayden Panetierre) is shaken up over it, but probably not for the right reasons.
"Now, I have to compete with a saint in a coma," she says as fans worry about the queen of country's health.

"Nashville" was renewed in May. Its first season averaged 5.94 million viewers per episode. Britton is nominated for a Best Lead Actress in a Drama Emmy nomination. It returns Wednesday, Sept. 25 at 10/9c.

Is Scarlett a flash in the pan or will she self destruct before she’s had her moment in the spotlight? Gunnar is tragically aware that his window to stardom is beginning to close, and he had better get his head back in the game. Did he ever really have what it takes to be a headliner or songwriter? Avery has had it all and lost it all. This time he’s made an unlikely ally, and nothing is going to keep him down or prevent him from getting back on that path to stardom. Teddy’s life has been turned upside-down since his break with Peggy, but nothing prepared him for how far she would be willing to go to get what she wants.
