She’s Baaack?!? Connie Britton Appears to Show Up at the End of ‘Nashville’ Final Trailer (Video)

But, you know, her character definitely died after a car accident landed her in the hospital

(Warning: Spoilers ahead for “Nashville” Season 5 and 6).

Is that who we think it is?

At the end of the final trailer for the last eight episodes of “Nashville,” Deacon (Charles Esten) asks “Is this real?” to a shadowy figure we can only assume is Connie Britton’s character Rayna Jaymes. We’ve got the same question as Deacon, considering Rayna died due to surgery complications after a car accident in Season 5.

It’s unclear how the show would bring back superstar Rayna, who left a lasting impact on superstar Juliette Barnes (Hayden Panettiere) — who, by the way, finds out in the trailer she’s pregnant. She’s also being held hostage by a cult in South America, so that’s no big deal. (Just kidding. That’s a huge deal. How will she get back to tell her daughter she’s a big sister?!)

The final episodes look like they’ll be an emotional doozy for Deacon, especially if that really is Rayna he’s talking to, because his long-lost dad Gideon (Ronny Cox) shows up and seems to bring along some old family drama.

Other teases in the trailer include a love triangle between Gunnar (Sam Palladio), Avery (Jonathan Jackson) and Alannah (Rainee Blake), which is sure to be no good if and when (pregnant) Juliette does return. It looks like Will Lexington (Chris Carmack) struggles with health problems, and  Scarlett (Clare Bowen) winds up locked in a bathroom with a traumatized soldier and his gun.

Watch the first of the final eight episodes Thursday at 9 p.m. on CMT.
