Thought Tupac’s appearance at Coachella was a once-in a lifetime experience? Make that a twice-in-a-week experience.
The holographic Tupac Shakur that shared the stage with Snoop Dogg and Dr. Dre at Coachella Sunday will be back for their second Coachella gig next week, according to Digital Domain, the Hollywood effects house that has also created CG likenesses for “The Curious Case of Benjamin Button,” “X-Men: First Class,” and “The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo,” among other films.

Digital Domain created the virtual Tupac at the behest of Dr. Dre, according to the company. Dre reportedly checked with Shakur’s mother, Afeni Shakur, who heartily approved of her son’s likeness carrying on his musical legacy, more than 15 years after his death.
