Joss Whedon has traded superheroes for Shakespeare in the first trailer for his adaptation of "Much Ado About Nothing."
Although the "Avengers" director's latest film is remarkably different from his previous work (both in subject matter and budget), it stars a number of actors who have collaborated with him in earlier projects, like "Angel" and "Firefly."

Amy Acker ("Angel," "Doll House"), Alexis Denisof ("Angel," "Buffy the Vampire Slayer"), Fran Kranz ("The Cabin in the Woods") and newcomer Jillian Morgese lead the cast of the modern retelling of Shakespeare's classic comedy, which follows characters trying to trick one couple into love and trick another couple out of marriage.
Clark Gregg, Tom Lenk, Ashley Johnson, Reed Diamond, Sean Maher, and Nathan Fillion also star in the micro-budgeted movie that was shot at Whedon's home shortly after "The Avengers" wrapped.
"Much Ado About Nothing" is being released by Lionsgate on June 7.
