MTV launched the latest trailer for “Happyland” on Tuesday, which is packed full of passionate teenagers and rippling abs, with a controversial cliffhanger.
The network’s upcoming teen dramedy centers around a theme park worker named Lucy who falls for the boss’ son, who may or may not be her brother.
In the clip, we see the dedicated young employee, played by Bianca Santos (“The Fosters”), yelling at the new guy while admiring his abs, finding out he’s heir to Happyland and then kissing him passionately.

What sets this apart from most other teen romances is the trailer’s cliffhanger, which has Lucy learning Ian (Shane Harper) — the hot young subordinate/theme park heir she just kissed — might actually be her sibling.
When series creator Ben Epstein spoke about the incest theme at July’s Television Critics Association panel in July, he insisted “Happyland” wasn’t merely about family love.
“I don’t think that any audience who’s going to watch it is going to see the show and say, ‘Oh, this is a show about incest.’ It’s not. It’s a very small aspect of the show that does serve for some comedic incentive,” he explained.

“Happyland” also stars Camille Guaty (“Prison Break”) as Elena, Cameron Moulene (“Raising Hope”) as Will and Ryan Rottman (“90210”) as Theodore. Storyline’s Neil Meron and Craig Zadan serve as executive producers along with Jill Cargerman.
“Happyland” premieres Tuesday, Sept. 30 at 11 p.m. ET on MTV.
