MTV’s 2014 Video Music Awards were held Sunday night at The Forum in Inglewood, Calif.
Miley Cyrus won the Video of the Year Moonman for “Wrecking Ball,” while Katy Perry and Ed Sheeran won the awards for Best Female and Best Male, respectively. Ariana Grande took home the Best Pop award for “Problem” and Lorde won the Best Rock award for “Royals.”

Beyoncé led the pack with eight nominations, including nods for Video of the Year and Best Female, but her three wins were for Best Cinematography and Best Video With a Social Message for “Pretty Hurts” and Best Collaboration (with Jay Z) for “Drunken Love.”
