MTV announced that it is bring “America’s Best Dance Crew” back from cancelation.
The competition series will return this summer with six new episodes, the network announced during Saturday’s Television Critics Association press tour.
The series, which is produced by former “American Idol” judge and mentor Randy Jackson, will have new judges. MTV has yet to name them.
Produced alongside Warner Horizon, Jackson, Rob Lee (Bayonne Entertainment) and Howard and Karen Schwartz (Hip Hop International) serve as executive producers.
The cable network canceled “America’s Best Dance Crew” in 2012 after seven seasons. Mario Lopez served as a host, as well as an executive producer.
The judging panel for the final seasons of the show included entertainers Lil Mama, JC Chasez, and Dominic “D-Trix” Sandoval. Former judges included hip-hop choreographer Shane Sparks and R&B singer Omarion.
In addition to the return of “America’s Best Dance Crew,” “Catfish: The TV Show” will return for its fourth season on Wednesday, Feb. 25 at 10 p.m. And “Finding Carter” will be back for Season 2 on Tuesday, March 31 at 10 p.m.
