Armed with flashlights on the darkened stage of the “MTV Movie & TV Awards,” the young cast of the new horror film “It” presented its latest, nightmare-inducing trailer.
The crew — which included Chosen Jacobs, Sophia Lillis, Wyatt Oleff, Finn Wolfhard, Jack Dylan Grazer, Jeremy Ray Taylor and Jaeden Lieberher – introduced the clip showing that when Pennywise the clown is in town, be very, very afraid of the dark.
“When you’re alone as a kid, the monsters see you as weaker. You don’t even know they’re getting closer until it’s too late,” says a voice over the trailer, which opens up on idyllic shots of a small town.
Cut to the cast of kids exploring a sewer, where one of them finds a shoe belonging to a girl who all but vanished from town.
Moments later, Pennywise and his creepy, floating red balloon appear.
