Academy Award Winner Mira Sorvino and Dermot Mulroney have signed to star in "Trade of Innocents," which will shoot in Southeast Asia this month and in April.
The movie is written and directed by Christopher Bessette and produced by Jim Schmidt. Executive producers are Bill Bolthouse, Laurie Bolthouse and Dave Ross with Dean River Productions.
The movie is about a couple who, while grieving their daughter's death, set out to rescue girls who are sold into the sex slave trade.
Sorvino won the best supporting actress Academy Award for her role in 1995's "Mighty Aphrodite." She next stars opposite Jeremy Piven, Lynn Collins and Kate Walsh in Gaby Dellal's "Angels' Crest," which will premier at the Tribeca Film Festival in April. She will also star in Nancy Savoca's upcoming "Union Square" opposite Tammy Blanchard.
Both Sorvino and Mulroney are repped by ICM. Sorvino's management is Untitled Entertainment.
