Ratings: CBS’ ‘Million Dollar Mile’ Debut Beat by NBC’s ‘Chicago Fire’

CW’s final-season premiere of “Jane the Virgin” finishes way behind those, Fox’s “Star,” ABC sitcom reruns

NBC won with its “Chicago”-show lineup on Wednesday, when Fox and CBS tied for second place among adults 18-49.

CBS debuted new series “Million Dollar Mile” last night, when The CW’s “Jane the Virgin” premiered its fifth and final season to a 0.3 rating/1 share and 795,000 total viewers.

Last night, Fox’s “Empire” managed a 1.1 rating/6 and 4 million total viewers, matching series lows from the prior week.

NBC was first in ratings with a 1.1 rating/5 share in the advertiser-coveted 18-49 demographic and in total viewers with an average of 7.7 million, according to preliminary numbers. “Chicago Med” at 8 p.m. had a 1.2/6 and 8 million viewers. At 9, “Chicago Fire” got a 1.2/5 and 8.2 million viewers. “Chicago PD” at 10 received a 1.1/5 and 7.1 million viewers.

CBS and Fox tied for second in ratings, both with a 1.0/5. CBS was second in total viewers with 5.2 million, Fox was third with 3.6 million.

For CBS, “Survivor” at 8 landed a 1.5/8 and 7.6 million viewers. “Million Dollar Mile” at 9 fired its starter pistol to a 1.0/4 and 4.1 million viewers. “SEAL Team” at 10 had a 0.6/3 and 3.9 million viewers.

For Fox, following “Empire,” spinoff “Star” at 9 received a 0.9/4 and 3.2 million viewers.

ABC was fourth in ratings with a 0.5/3 and in viewers with 2.8 million. Following a bunch of sitcom reruns, “Whiskey Cavalier” at 10 had a 0.5/3 and 2.9 million viewers.

Univision and Telemundo tied for fifth in ratings, both with a 0.4/2. Univision was fifth in total viewers with 1.4 million, Telemundo was sixth with 1.1 million.

The CW was seventh in ratings with a 0.3/1 and in viewers with 824,000. Leading in to “Jane,” “Riverdale” at 8 got a 0.3/1 and 853,000 viewers.
