Miley Cyrus Goes Undercover on ‘Jimmy Kimmel Live’ to See If Anybody Actually Likes Her (Video)

“No, she’s not one of my favorites,” a man tells the unrecognizable singer pretending to be an Australian reporter

If you think you wouldn’t have any trouble recognizing Miley Cyrus no matter what she was wearing, then you’d be very wrong.

The “Wrecking Ball” singer proved to be a master of disguise on “Jimmy Kimmel Live!” Wednesday when the ABC late-night host dressed her as a frumpy reporter and sent her undercover onto the streets of Los Angeles.

Miley Cyrus is a very recognizable individual so we decided to have some fun with that today by making her unrecognizable,” Kimmel told viewers. “We disguised Miley as an Australian woman and sent her out on the street to ask people what they think about Miley Cyrus.”

Their opinion wasn’t very high, with the exception of two teen girls — the singer’s target audience — who could sing and dance to one of Cyrus’ songs on the spot.

“No, she’s not one of my favorites,” a man told Cyrus. “Really her style, and her dad. I just don’t like her whole family… I think she’s starving for attention, and that’s why she’s doing it all crazy like that.”

When the singer asked another man if he’d have any issues if his kids started acting like Cyrus, he said, “No, not really. I just like Taylor Swift better.”

The pop star will no doubt be wearing a lot less clothing on Sunday night when she hosts the 2015 MTV VMAs.

Taylor Swift, Ed Sheeran and Beyoncé Knowles lead the nominations for the Video Music Awards, which should make things interesting since Cyrus recently slammed Swift’s “Bad Blood” music video as offensive for its depiction of violence.

“Jimmy Kimmel Live!” airs at 11:35 p.m. on ABC.
