Miley Cyrus ‘SNL’ Ratings on Par With Tina Fey Premiere Despite Delay

The pop star doubled as host and musical guest on Saturday

Miley Cyrus brought more self-deprecating humor than twerking to the second episode of the 39th season of “Saturday Night Live.”

The show pulled in a 4.5/13 in rating in metered-market households from midnight-1:30 a.m., even with a football-delayed start, and scored a 2.7/14 in adults 18-49 in the Local People Meters. The 2.7 ties both last week’s season premiere (with host Tina Fey and musical guest Arcade Fire) and the show’s May 18 season finale (with host Ben Affleck and musical guest Kanye West).

Last week’s season premiere of “SNL,” hosted by Tina Fey, was the show’s highest-rated premiere in three years. It drew a 2.4 rating/10 share in the 18-49 demographic — up 9 percent from last season’s premiere.

In total viewers, the season premiere — which featured musical guests Arcade Fire — drew 6.5 million, a 10 percent boost over 2012’s.
