Miley Cyrus’ ‘Black Mirror’ Character Ashley O Has Taken Over Her Twitter Account

And she’s on a roll

“Black Mirror” fans were introduced to Miley Cyrus’ pink and sparkly character, Ashley O, when Season 5 dropped Wednesday. And Cyrus’ Twitter followers met her alter-ego not long after, as she appears to have taken control of the singer’s social media account.

Yes, those of you who have become fast fans of the fictional pop (and later heavy metal) singer now have a chance to interact with Ashley O, who was featured in the episode “Rachel, Jack and Ashley Too,” via Cyrus’ Twitter account.

On Wednesday, Cyrus changed her Twitter account display name to Ashley O and set a photo of the fictional “On a Roll” singer as her profile picture. Then the in-character tweets started to roll out and really ramped up Thursday morning.

“Ashley O is unable to perform due to a detrimental shellfish allergy. She is still capable of SELFIES,” Cyrus — er, Ashley tweeted, complete with a picture of the singer in the same hospital bed the character laid in for months while in a coma during the episode.

Of course, Ashley was actually in a coma thanks to her Aunt Catherine, not an allergic reaction to shellfish. But if you saw the episode, you know it all works out in the end with a great Nine Inch Nails cover.
