Mila Kunis has reportedly broken her word — and, along with it, one lonely Marine's heart.
Contrary to reports earlier this week, it appears that the "Black Swan" actress won't be attending the Marine Corps Ball with Sgt. Scott Moore in North Carolina this November — because she has filming commitments that will keep her too busy for traveling.

Kunis accepted Moore's invitation to the ball after some prodding from her "Friends With Benefits" co-star, Justin Timberlake, on Monday. After Timberlake alerted Kunis to Moore's come-on, which he posted on YouTube, he urged, "You need to do it for your country."
Kunis replied to Timberlake, "I'll go. I'll do it for you. I'll do it."
But apparently Kunis' love of career outstrips her love of country.
On Access Hollywood's live show Wednesday morning, Billy Bush noted that Kunis wouldn't be able to keep the date, since she'll be busy filming two movies in November, when the Marine Corps. Ball takes place. (Kunis is slated to star as Theodora in the upcoming Sam Raimi "Wizard of Oz" re-imagining, "Oz: The Great and Powerful," for a 2013 release. It's uncertain what the other project would be; a representative for Kunis did not immediately respond to TheWrap's request for comment on this story.)
Sigh. So much for happy endings and, well, humanity in general.
This hasn't prevented Cpl. Kelsey De Santis — who is, apparently, the only female posted at the Martial Arts Center for Excellence at Marine Corps Base Quantico, in Virginia — from issuing her own overture to Kunis' co-star Timberlake. De Santis posted the video below yesterday, asking Timberlake to the same ball:
De Santis might not want to hold her breath for a reply.
