Mika Brzezinski Accuses Trump of Knowing ‘He Messed Up’ on Wiretapping Claims

“He just refuses to admit it,” she says on “Morning Joe”

MSNBC’s “Morning Joe” co-host Mika Brzezinski continued to criticize President Trump on Tuesday morning, asking if the American people should consider him trustworthy.

“How can anybody trust what this president says at this point? I’m sorry, let’s get right to the chase here. How can anybody trust what comes out of his mouth or his tweets? You can’t,” she said.

Brzezinski also suggested that her own sources feel Trump knew he had erred by tweeting wiretapping claims against his predecessor Barack Obama.

“I have some reporting talking to a few people who are either close to the White House or inside it that the president actually knows he messed up and won’t admit it, just refuses to admit it,” claimed Brzezinski.

She then went on to discuss the belief that Trump’s administration is plagued with internal feuds.

“Really serious infighting, jockeying for jobs to the point where everyone in that inner cadre from [Steve] Bannon on down, they’re so busy trying to either save their hides or get each other’s jobs that they don’t realize Rome is burning.”

Guest Mark Halperin added, “This president’s style is to let people fight it out.”

Trump denied any “big infighting” on Twitter Monday morning, saying: “We are getting along great, and getting major things done!”

Co-host Joe Scarborough was out on Tuesday.
