The 36th Annual GLAAD Media Awards just got even bigger now that “Shrinking” star Michael Urie is set to host the March 27 ceremony.

“I couldn’t be more honored to be the host of this year’s GLAAD Media Awards. Our queer siblings across the country who are being unfairly persecuted and villainized deserve a night that reminds them that they’re not alone,” Urie said in a Thursday statement. “Media is one of the strongest tools we have to fight against stereotypes and hate. I am inspired by the power that art and media can have on society and proud to honor and celebrate our nominees.”

Elsewhere, Cynthia Erivo was previously announced to be receiving the Stephen F. Kolzak Award at the Los Angeles event for “raising visibility and promoting the acceptance of LGBTQ people and issues,” per GLAAD.

Also expected to attend the fabulous ceremony are Doechii, Nava Mau, Cooper Koch, Maren Morris, Jay Shetty, Brandon Scott Jones, Jonathan Bennett, Khalen Saunders, select “RuPaul’s Drag Race” stars, Abby Wambach and Glennon Doyle.

The news of Urie’s hosting duties comes three weeks after he won Best Supporting Actor in a Comedy Series for his Apple TV+ show at the 2025 Critics’ Choice Awards.

In addition to “Shrinking,” the award-winning actor is also well-known for “Ugly Betty,” “Single All the Way,” “Younger” and “Partners” on-screen, as well as for “How to Succeed in Business Without Really Trying,” “Spamalot,” “Gutenberg! The Musical!” and, most recently, “Once Upon a Mattress” on Broadway.

The 2025 GLAAD Media Awards take place March 27 in L.A.
