Two times come together in “X-Men: Days of Future Past,” the latest in Fox’s film series based on the Marvel Comics franchise. Characters from the original trilogy come together with their counterparts from the more recent movies. This means Ian McKellan’s Magneto will come face-to-face with his younger self, portrayed by Michael Fassbender.
Perhaps the McKellan version will be able to recall why he decided to steal a baseball stadium when he was younger. Fox’s latest clip features Fassbender’s Magneto calmly dropping down in the middle of the stadium and then simply ripping it from the ground and taking it with him, mostly in one piece still.
What’s he going to do with a baseball stadium? Maybe they’ll save the future by playing a game of pick-up baseball in the past.
