We have not seen the last of Michael Caine onscreen, after all.

While the legendary actor made waves Friday when an interview surfaced in which he said the recently released comedy-drama “Best Sellers” would be his last film, TheWrap has confirmed with Caine’s representatives that he is not fully retiring.

“Regarding retirement, I’ve spent over 50 years getting up at 6:00 AM to make movies, and I’m not getting rid of my alarm clock!” Caine said in a statement provided to TheWrap.

The hubbub over Caine’s retirement came about after an interview with Simon Mayo surfaced in which he hinted that “Best Sellers” might be his final film.
