Michael Avenatti insisted Thursday that he still had no interest in his own television show and there was nothing to his appearance with Anthony Scaramucci on “The Late Show with Stephen Colbert.”
“Last night was not a “debut.” We were invited on the show to discuss the issues, which I enjoyed,” he tweeted. “To be clear: I have ZERO interest in my own TV show. My focus is on winning the cases at hand for my client and disclosing the truth about the cover-up to the American people.”

The joint appearance with the former White House communications director was no accident, however. In May, the New York Times reported that a show co-hosted by the two men was being shopped to various networks. Both men have repeatedly denied any interest in doing a program either independently or together, although Scaramucci didn’t fully dismiss it during an appearance on C-SPAN earlier this month.
During the segment, Avenatti continued to dismiss the idea of a potential show with Scaramucci, telling Colbert it would be the “the male version of ‘Thelma and Louise.”
Virtually unknown a few months ago, Avenatti has become a public figure in his role as the lawyer for Stormy Daniels. The adult actress says she had a sexual relationship with President Donald Trump back in 2006 and is suing to be released from an NDA she signed days before he was elected president. Additional complaints of defamation have been brought against both Trump and his longtime attorney Michael Cohen.
President Trump has consistently denied that any affair took place.
In recent weeks, Avenatti has teased the possibility of additional women coming forward with NDA’s they’ve signed with the president thus ensuring he will remain on television — one way or another — for the foreseeable future.
