Metallica Wants to Rock Golf in New ‘SportsCenter’ Commercial (Video)

The band is searching for new meaning in life since New York Yankees pitcher Mariano Rivera has retired

Metallica is trying to pawn off their greatest hits collection to more sports stars in a new promo for ESPN’s “SportsCenter.”

The 30-second TV spot (above) features the band bumming around the office with nothing to do now that New York Yankees pitcher Mariano Rivera — who famously used 1991 song “Enter Sandman” as his entrance song — has retired.

“Who’s left?” singer James Hetfield asks drummer Lars Ulrich.

“John Daly?” Ulrich says, unconvinced.
