Sony's 'Men in Black 3" passed the $500 million mark at the worldwide box office Tuesday.
The second sequel in the franchise has made $139.5 million in the U.S. and $364.6 million overseas so far.

"MIB3" has a ways to go to catch the original film, which took in $589 million globally in 1997. The first sequel did $441 million worldwide in 2002.
Will Smith and Tommy Lee Jones have appeared in all three films, with Josh Brolin joining the cast for "MIB3." Barry Sonnenfeld directed and Steven Spielberg executive produced all three films, which have taken in $1.52 billion globally.
