Twitter doesn’t think that Mel Gibson and Vince Vaughn enjoyed Meryl Streep‘s anti-Donald Trump speech delivered at the Golden Globes Sunday night, posting various comments about the visible reaction from the not-so-liberal actors.
“Disrespect invites disrespect. Violence incites violence. And when the powerful use their position to bully others, we all lose,” Streep said as part of her indictment of Trump, which you can view in full here.
Fox News host Tucker Carlson called Streep’s speech “the least courageous thing you can do,” because she was simply saying what the room full of “rich Hollywood liberals” want to hear. Carlson must have missed the reactions of Gibson and Vaughn.
Representatives for Gibson and Vaughn did not immediately respond to TheWrap’s request for comment.
Trump also took to Twitter on Monday morning to rip Meryl Streep as an “over-rated” actress hours after she bashed him. Perhaps the president-elect will praise Gibson and Vaughn’s work in the near future on the social media platform.
While many viewers hailed Streep’s speech, fans quickly took to Twitter to point out that Gibson and Vaughn didn’t look too thrilled. Check out some of the reactions:
