Fox News’ Megyn Kelly and Bill O’Reilly went at it last night on Fox News in regards to the Sunday shooting outside a Texas Muhammad cartoon contest.
O’Reilly said he wasn’t upset that the two gunmen, who ISIS has claimed responsibility for, were shot dead by police. But the Texas event was provoking violence, O’Reilly said.
“It’s always cause and effect,” he said. “This is what happens when you light the fuse — you get violence.”
Kelly shot back that she might not agree with the method of the group’s free speech — which many critics slammed as incendiary — but she strongly supports the group’s right to hold the event, as the first amendment was made particularly for speech we don’t like.
“I would do it another way,” O’Reilly said. “I agree with your point, that we shouldn’t let these people intimidate us.”
“You know what else the jihadis don’t like? They hate Jews,” Kelly replied. “Should we get rid of all Jews? That’s the path we’re gonna go down if we start catering to the jihadis.”
