The media was really giving it to President Obama and Democrats Wednesday as the dust settled on a convincing GOP victory in Tuesday’s midterm elections. The New York Post removed the president’s clothes.
TIME — who landed an exclusive interview with new Senate majority leader Mitch McConnell — went with a ironic 2008 throwback.
Meanwhile, The Huffington Post front page is just hurting.
And the New York Times tweeted out an image of defeated Florida gubernatorial candidate Charlie Crist’s beloved fan following his concession speech.

The fan, of course, started a media firestorm during the buildup to the election when Gov. Rick Scott refused to come out and debate Crist because he had a small fan under his podium. Scott eventually caved and emerged.
As expected, the morning news shows didn’t hold back on their reactions either.
“They [the GOP] had a very good night; they did indeed catch a wave,” said “Fox & Friends” co-host Steve Doocy to open Fox’s morning show.
“Good morning everyone, the horror show’s over,” began “Morning Joe” co-host Mika Brzezinski over on MSNBC. “How are you doing?” Joe Scarborough asked her. “I cried all night,” she joked in front of a live audience Wednesday morning.
“Here’s your headline: the USA votes GOP,” said Chris Cuomo to open CNN’s “New Day.”
Cable news is wall-to-wall Wednesday with reaction to the elections.
