‘Mayans MC’ Trailer: New Prospect JD Pardo Is ‘All In’ (Video)

San Diego Comic-Con 2018: And once you’re in, there’s no getting out

Forget Jax Teller (we’re just kidding, please don’t), as the first official trailer for FX’s “Sons of Anarchy” spinoff, “Mayans M.C.” is all about a new leading man.

In the two-minute video released Thursday during the start of San Diego Comic-Con 2018 — which is fans’ first full look at the latest chapter in Kurt Sutter’s biker saga — Ezekiel “EZ” Reyes (JD Pardo) is fresh out of prison and a prospect in the Mayans M.C. charter on the California/Mexico border. Now, EZ must carve out his new identity in a town where he was once the golden boy with the American Dream in his grasp.

Along with Pardo, the series stars Clayton Cardenas, Edward James Olmos, Sarah Bolger, Michael Irby, Carla Baratta, Antonio Jaramillo, Raoul Max Trujillo, Richard Cabral and Danny Pino. Recurring stars include Emilio Rivera, Frankie Loyal, Joseph Lucero, Vincent Rocco Vargas, Maurice Compte, Gino Vento, Tony Plana and Ada Maris.

“Mayans M.C.” was co-created by Sutter and Elgin James, and executive produced by Sutter and Norberto Barba (who directed the first two episodes), with James co-executive producing. The 10-episode first season hails from Fox 21 Television Studios and FX Productions.

“Mayans M.C.” premieres Tuesday, Sept. 4 at 10/9c on FX.
