Martin Short‘s Jiminy Glick is back and more obtuse than ever. That should prove quite annoying for the inquisitive-yet-uninformed character’s next guest, Jerry Seinfeld.
The “Comedians in Cars Getting Coffee” star is set to tape his Glick segment tonight, TheWrap has learned exclusively. The airdate for Seinfeld’s turn is subject to change, so let’s just call it “upcoming,” like our source did.
Thus far, Glick’s “Maya & Marty” victims have been Drake, Ricky Gervais and Larry David.
“Maya & Marty” has been a strong performer for NBC thus far this summer. Just last night, it actually beat the series finale CBS’ “Person of Interest” in the key 18-49 demographic.
Also on Tuesday’s episode, hosts Short and Maya Rudolph were joined by a slew of Broadway stars to debut “What the World Needs Now Is Love,” a song recorded to raise funds for the Orlando LGBT community, following last week’s shooting massacre in the community.
“Maya & Marty” is executive produced by Lorne Michaels‘ Broadway Video.
