Matt Rice has joined the board of directors at UTA, where he has been a partner since 2004. Rice is the seventh member of the board, a group that includes chairman Jim Berkus and CEO Jeremy Zimmer.
Board members own larger stakes in the agency and decide on many of the most pressing matters. Rice joined UTA in 2002 from boutique literary firm Broder Webb Chervin Silbermann. ICM Partners later bought the firm.
Rice represents several top TV actors, including Nick Offerman, Megan Mullally and Craig Robinson.
“Matt’s contributions are everything we hope for from a partner and a board member,” the board said in a statement. “He is a wildly productive agent, a concerned and supportive mentor, and a terrific leader.”
