Fox is developing cop drama “The Dime” from “The Batman” director Matt Reeves and “Hell on Wheels” creators Tony and Joe Gayton.
The show is a co-production between 6th & Idaho and 20th Century Fox Television and based on the new novel from Kathleen Kent. It centers on tough Brooklyn cop Betty Rhyzyck who moves to Dallas with her girlfriend and adjusts to life leading detectives who have a different set of sensibilities from her own.
The Gaytons are writing and executive producing the project that has a script order with penalty from Fox. Also executive producing are Reeves, Adam Kassan and Rafi Crohn.
Production company 6th & Idaho is represented by CAA, 3 Arts and attorney Karl Austen. Tony and Joe Gayton are with UTA and Jackoway Tyerman.
