“The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel” is returning for an encore.
Amazon announced a Dec. 6 return date for Season 3 on Monday, along with its first teaser video, which features Midge fully embracing life on the road with Shy Baldwin in all its glitz and glamour… and a few less-than-glamorous moments.
“She’s going on the road with Shy Baldwin, and it’s a huge thing,” Joel (Michael Zegen) says in the trailer, which you can watch above.
Season 3 will find Midge (Rachel Brosnahan) and Susie (Alex Borstein) discovering that life on tour with Shy is glamorous but humbling, and they learn a lesson about show business they’ll never forget. Joel (Zegen) struggles to support Midge while pursuing his own dreams. Abe (Tony Shalhoub) embraces a new mission and Rose (Marin Hinkle) learns she has talents of her own, according to Amazon.
“The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel” is created by Amy Sherman-Palladino and executive producer by Daniel Palladino. The pair also writes and directs.
The cast also includes Luke Kirby, Leroy McClain, Kevin Pollak, Caroline Aaron, and new to this season, Sterling K. Brown and Cary Elwes.
The eight-time Emmy-award winning comedy series is nominated in 20 categories at this year’s Emmys, including Outstanding Comedy Series and Outstanding Lead Actress in a Comedy Series for Rachel Brosnahan, who won the same award last year.
“The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel” returns for Season 3 on Dec. 6 on Amazon Prime Video.
