Mark Hamill took to Twitter Saturday morning to share what he believes could be the very first photo taken of him in costume as Luke Skywalker in “Star Wars,” circa 1977.
In the post, Hamill, who reprised the role in 2015’s “Star Wars: The Force Awakens,” reminisced about his first day on set in the Republic of Tunisia, the northernmost country in Africa that touches the Sahara Desert.
The photo was taken before he filmed his first scene of the movie, the droid auction, where Luke and his Uncle Owen come to possess C-3PO and R2-D2.

Hamill went on to play Skywalker in the sequels, 1980’s “The Empire Strikes Back,” 1983’s “Return of the Jedi” and in the final scene of 2015’s “The Force Awakens.”
He will next be seen as Skywalker when “Star Wars: The Last Jedi” hits theaters Dec. 15.
