For her Vogue cover story titled “Australian Psycho,” Margot Robbie spoofed the opening scene of the 2000 Christian Bale movie “American Psycho,” giving fans a glimpse into her morning routine.
In the video, Robbie does a play-by-play of Bale‘s morning regimen in the indie classic, from yoga on the balcony to putting on a face mask.
“There is an idea of Margot Robbie, some kind of abstraction,” the “Suicide Squad” actress says in the video. “But there is no real me, only an entity, something illusory. And though I can hide my cold gaze and you can shake my hand and feel flesh gripping yours and maybe you can even sense our lifestyles are probably comparable, I simply am not there.”
“I’m here,” she says as the camera pans to her Vogue cover.
The video was co-directed by Ariel Schulman and Henry Joost, who directed “Paranormal Activity 4.”
Robbie will next star as Jane Porter in “The Legend of Tarzan,” which opens July 1, and then as villainess Harley Quinn in DC Comics’ “Suicide Squad,” opening August 5.
