Ratings: CBS’s ‘Battle Creek’ Slips Again in Its Low-Rated Sunday Slide

Network squeaks out a win thanks to March Madness overrun

CBS snuck by its competition with a March Madness college basketball overrun, though new-ish series “Battle Creek” still can’t buy a bucket.

That said, due to the nature of live sports, CBS numbers are currently approximate and subject to change.

Fox’s “The Last Man on Earth” rebounded, rising 19 percent with a special episode at 9 p.m. It’s second episode at 9:30 came back down to Earth.

CBS was first in ratings with a 1.5 rating/5 share in the advertiser-coveted 18-49 demographic and in total viewers with an average of 10 million, according to preliminary numbers. An NCAA overrun at 7 p.m. scored a 3.3/12 and 13.3 million viewers — both highs of the night. At 7:30, “60 Minutes” at 7:30 received a 1.9/6 and 11.7 million viewers. “Madam Secretary” at 8:30 had a 1.3/4 and 10.3 million viewers. “The Good Wife” at 9:30 got a 1.0/3 and 8.2 million viewers. “Battle Creek” at 10:30 posted a 0.8/2 and 6.2 million viewers.

ABC was second in ratings with a 1.4/4 and in viewers with 5.5 million. “America’s Funniest Home Videos” at 7 had a 1.4/5 and 6.4 million viewers. “Once Upon a Time” at 8 got a 1.8/6 and 5.7 million viewers. “Secrets & Lies” received a 1.5/4 and 5.5 million viewers. “Revenge” at 10 posted a 1.1/3 and 4.4 million viewers.

Fox was third in ratings with a 1.3/4 and fourth in viewers with 3.3 million. At 7, NASCAR coverage ran into a rerun, putting up a 0.9/3 and 3.1 million viewers. “Bob’s Burgers” at 7:30 had a 1.0/3 and 2.2 million viewers. “Last Man on Earth” at 9 jumped to a 1.9/5 and 4.5 million viewers. A second half-hour at 9:30 got a 1.6/4 and 4.1 million viewers.

NBC was fourth in ratings with a 1.0/3 and third in viewers with 4.4 million. Following a repeat, “Dateline” at 9 posted a 1.2/3 and 5.3 million viewers.

Univision was fifth in ratings with a 0.8/2 and in viewers with 2.1 million.

Telemundo was sixth in ratings with a 0.5/2 and in viewers with 1.4 million.
