Mike White and Justin Long make an offbeat case for gay marriage in a new video supporting the repeal of Proposition 8, the California constitutional amendment that defined marriage as between two people of the opposite sex.
Long and White's video argues that homophobes should embrace overturning the law as a way to punish gays by subjecting them to the mundane domestic squabbles that married couples get to enjoy.
The three-minute video — made as part of a "Make Homosexuals Marry" campaign — finds the pair experiencing such connubial staples as dealing with in-laws in need of a loan, a spouse who forgets to lift the toilet seat and a general dimming of sex drive.
The film is part of an attempt to keep the "No on 8" debate in the public's consciousness.
