Break out your dollar bills. Magic Mike is back.
Channing Tatum, the star of both “Magic Mike” and upcoming sequel “Magic Mike XXL,” stopped by “The Ellen Degeneres Show” on Wednesday to unveil the first trailer for the upcoming sequel.
In the film, “Magic” Mike has been retired from stripping for three years. But in the trailer, it is clear that he still feels the urge to be on stage as he performs a highly-charged dance routine around his garage. Mike is then lured out of retirement by his former colleagues for a stripper convention in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina.
The original film was directed by Steven Soderbergh, who returns to the sequel as the cinematographer and editor. The film also sees the return of orignal cast members Matt Bomer, Kevin Nash, and Joe Manganiello. Jada Pinkett Smith, Elizabeth Banks, and Michael Strahan will also appear.
“Magic Mike XXL” debuts in theaters July 1, 2015.
