Maggie and Negan are set to reunite and face new villains in “The Walking Dead: Dead City” Season 2, which premieres May 4 at 9 p.m. ET on AMC and AMC+.
The trailer opens with shots of a post-apocalyptic Manhattan skyline, before cutting between shots of Maggie (Lauren Cohan) and Negan (Jeffrey Dean Morgan) trapped on opposite sides in a growing war for control of New York City.
“Why do you want to bring back Manhattan,” Maggie says, to which Perlie Armstrong replies: “We’ve lost too much.”
It then cuts to Negan walking through a church, where he tells the attendees, including the Dama: “I hear this island’s got no laws. The question is are you going to keep it that way?”
“You see power, equals power,” he continues, as the trailer shows Radio City Music Hall light up. “So if you ain’t with us, I guess you’re in for a bit of a shock.”
In addition to the seeing the pair reunite, the duo can be seen fending off zombies and a bear and encountering Bruegel, a new villian who is the leader of a gang operation.
“The show’s about to start. We’ve got work to do,” Negan tells Maggie.
Starring alongside Cohan and Morgan is Gaius Charles, Željko Ivanek, Mahina Anne Marie Napoleon, Lisa Emery, Logan Kim, Dascha Polanco and Kim Coates, among others.
