Macklemore & Ryan Lewis and Bruno Mars are the latest to join the list of perfomers at MTV's VMAs. THe hip-hop duo will peform their marriage equality song "Same Love," while Mars will debut his new single.
Macklemore's performance marks the first time an artist has performed at all three of MTV's major televised events — the mtvU Woodies, MTV Movie Awards and the VMAs — in one calendar year.
They join previously announced performers Justin Timberlake, Lady Gaga, Kanye West, Katy Perry, Miley Cyrus and Robin Thicke.
MTV announced Thursday that Timberlake would receive the Michael Jackson Video Vanguard award. He and Macklemore (pictured) & Ryan Lewis are tied for the most VMA nominations with six each.
The show airs live from Brooklyn's Barclay Center on Aug. 25.
