“Hobbit” star Luke Evans will star in “Three Seconds,” a prison thriller based on the best-selling Swedish book by Anders Roslund and Borge Hellström.

Bloom said on Thursday the company will introduce the project directed by Otto Bathhurst (“Peaky Blinders”) to foreign buyers at the European Film Market, which launches on Friday.

CAA and WME are co-representing the domestic rights to the packaged project being produced by Thunder Road and Ollie Madden of Shine Pictures. Erica Lee is executive producing, while Kevin Frakes and Raj Singh of PalmStar Media are providing financing.

Matt Cook‘s adapted screenplay tells the story of a man forced to go undercover in prison by the FBI, only to be abandoned by the agency, and forced to escape on his own.

Principal photography is set to begin this spring in New York.

The news follows Evans’ decision to exit Relativity’s “The Crow” reboot due to production delays.

“We are looking forward to presenting this fun and fast paced script to buyers in Berlin,” Bloom’s Alex Walton said in a statement. “It’s a great package – an immensely commercial project with a talented and seasoned team between Otto, Basil and Kevin.”
