Ludacris Joins ‘New Year’s Eve’

Rapper and actor co-starring with Halle Berry and Zac Efron in ensemble romantic comedy

Chris "Ludacris" Bridges has joined the cast of the New Line's romantic comedy "New Year's Eve," TheWrap has learned. 

The actor and rapper will play a supporting role in the Garry Marshall directed ensemble film. Much like "Valentine's Day," "New Year's Eve" is centered on a group of couples and would-be lovers over the course of the holiday. 

Though best known for his music, Bridges has built up an impressive film resume with roles in "Hustle & Flow" and "2 Fast 2 Furious."

He joins a growing list of stars such as Jessica Biel, Abigail Breslin, Ice Cube, Robert De Niro, Josh Duhamel, Zac Efron, Ashton Kutcher, Seth Meyers, Lea Michele, Sarah Jessica Parker and Michelle Pfeiffer, Hilary Swank and Sofia Vergara.

"New Year's Eve" hits theaters on Dec. 9. Bridges is represented by CAA.
