‘Love Actually’ Cast Tells Us Who Aged the Best in Teaser for Short Reunion Film (Video)

17 years have passed, so of course all the kids are grown up and we feel old

The cast of “Love Actually” is reuniting for an NBC short film and the question on everybody’s mind is: Who’s aged the best?

At least, that’s according to a new teaser posted by NBC on Wednesday.

In the video, the cast, which includes just about everybody from the classic romantic comedy, flips through a set of cue cards.

In case you don’t remember, the cue cards are reminiscent of a scene in “Love Actually” in which Andrew Lincoln’s character talks to Keira Knightley on her doorstep on Christmas.

The cards tell us that we’ll see where all the characters are after 17 years, but also who’s aged the best. According to the cards though, it’s not Colin Firth. Either way, the kids are all grown up.

Hugh Grant, Colin Firth, Liam Neeson, Rowan Atkinson, Keira Knightley, Andrew Lincoln, Chiwetel Ejiofor, Lucia Moniz, Thomas Brodie-Sangster, Olivia Olson, Bill Nighy,  Martine McCutcheon, and Marcus Brigstocke all make appearances in the teaser. Firth and Brigstocke don’t appear.

Not all of the original cast will feature in the short: Emma Thompson is out on account of Alan Rickman’s death in early 2016. Director Richard Curtis said that it was “too soon” since his death to write Thompson a part.

“Richard wrote to me and said, ‘Darling, we can’t write anything for you because of Alan,’ and I said, ‘No, of course, it would be sad, too sad,’” Thompson said.

The short film will air May 25 on NBC as part of The Red Nose Day Special and March 24’s Red Nose Day in the UK on BBC1.
