We can't wait to hear this five-word acceptance speech: Comedian and FX TV star Louis C.K. has been named the Webby Awards person of the year.
Louis C.K. nabbed the Webby kudos for setting a "new precedent for distribution" with his "Live at the Beacon Theater" comedy special. He released "Live at the Beacon Theater" online in December for just $5 per download, and it earned $1 million in just the first two weeks of release.
Fellow comics Jim Gaffigan and "Parks and Recreation" star Aziz Ansari have since followed Louis C.K. and released their own comedy projects online.
The Webbys honor the best achievements on the interwebs, and are famous for the pressure-packed requirement that honorees are limited to making a five-word acceptance speech.
