It’s a girl! TBS’s family comedy pilot has cast Ashley Gerasimovich as the family’s daughter, TheWrap has learned.
From real-life couple and parents, the scripted project from “The Daily Show’s” Jason Jones and Samantha Bee is inspired by their own experiences with family getaways and follows a family of four while on a comical and disastrous road trip. The couple will write the pilot with Jones set to star.
Gerasimovich will play the potential series regular role of Delilah, Nate (Jones) and Robin’s (Natalie Zea) daughter, and a fraternal twin sister to Jared (Liam Carroll). She’s a rebellious and strong-willed girl who speaks an incomprehensible Pig Latin language with her twin brother.
The 10-year-old actress played the recurring role of Jane on FX comedy, “Louie.” Her other television credits include Hulu’s “Deadbeat,” CBS’s “Blue Bloods” and NBC’s “30 Rock.”
Gerasimovich appeared in the 2011 feature film drama, “We Need to Talk About Kevin.” The actress will soon be seen in the family drama feature film, “Take Me to the River,” opposite Josh Hamilton and written, directed, and produced by Matt Sobel.
CESD and Framework Entertainment represent Gerasimovich.
