Apple Will Finally Unveil the iCloud Next Week

Steve Jobs will return from his medical leave to make the presentation at the annual Worldwide Developers Conference next Monday

It looks like Steve Jobs is finally ready to give Apple-philes a look under the iCloud hood.

The new cloud-based media storage site will be unveiled at the company’s annual Worldwide Developers Conference next Monday, June 6, Apple announced on Tuesday.

Apple will also reveal  Lion, the eighth major release of Mac OS X, and iOS 5, the next version of Apple’s advanced mobile operating system.

But it is the iCloud that will command the lion's share of the attention. In April, Apple bought the domain name iCoud.com for $4.5 million.

Details of the cloud-service remain tightly guarded.

Jobs, who has been on medical leave for much of the year, will make the presentation.
